BCS was established in 2016 with the goal to provide easy to understand beauty school advice that helps readers accomplish their goals.

When I first started cosmetology school, I got frustrated with the lack of resources the school provided.

I wanted to know more!

The only problem is there are so many worthless websites out there with wrong information. I want to make sure you get the best recommendations, actionable information, and tips that really help you!

My Story

I grew up in the not so small town of Omaha, Nebraska. No, my parents weren’t farmers, and yes we have color television.

At an early age, I was fascinated with makeup. I loved watching celebrities walk down the red carpet and seeing all of their beautiful faces. After seeing how good people could look, I wanted to look that good! However, my dad was quite the stickler. He would never let me buy supplies and being seen in public with makeup on at such a young age was a no go!

Even when I got to high school, my father would not let me out of the house with makeup on. Finally, junior year I said enough was enough and would secretly put it on in the car. My part-time job at Starbucks gave me enough cash to start buying my own supplies, and I started to really get a knack for this whole makeup thing.

After high school, I went straight to cosmetology school. From there I learned to fine tune my craft and eventually graduated feeling like I could take on the world.
